Our main goal is to make our customers happy by delivering high-quality, fresh, and beautiful flowers. Although there might be times when we need to make substitutions for color or flower variety, we promise that the blooms you receive will be fresh and impressive for you or your gift recipient.

At Calgary Flower Delivery – Daisies Rubies Florist, we want to inform our valued customers that due to unstable supply chains, there might be shortages and delays in floral shipments. This could lead to substitutions on some items without prior notice. However, we guarantee that all substitutions will be of the same value paid and with products as similar as possible to the original order.

We guarantee our flowers for 48 Hours. Any issues will be dealt with on a case by case basis.  We want you to know we use the most fresh and strong flowers for each and every arrangements – no short cuts!  Please ensure your flowers get the proper care as indicated on the website.

Substitutions can occur for various reasons, such as supply chain variations, seasonal availability, or strong scent issues and allergy alerts enforced by most hospitals. Our professional designers handcraft every item, so there might be variations in the delivered product, but we strive to maintain the overall look and presentation of the original order.

Substitutions are more likely for last-minute orders and during some holidays. Nonetheless, we pay particular attention to the color scheme and premium flower varieties to retain the value and integrity of every item ordered.

To guarantee the freshest bouquet possible, our florists may replace some stems in your arrangement which could differ in color and variety. Any substitution made will be similar to the original design and be of equal or greater value. Due to availability, the vase that arrives with your flowers may be different than the one shown in our website photography.

For bouquets and plants of one variety, such as roses or orchids, we focus on matching the floral type but may substitute for different colors.

When seasonal flowers are not available, similar flowers may be substituted. Here’s a list of some seasonal availability:

  • Gladiolas: Mid Summer to Fall
  • Hydrangeas: Spring, Summer and Limited During the Fall
  • Iris: Late Winter to Spring
  • Sunflowers: Late Summer to Mid Autumn
  • Tulips: Late Winter to Spring

Arrangements containing lilies are subject to an automatic substitution with a suitable alternative due to strong scent issues and allergy alerts enforced by most hospitals. This substitution is made to ensure no delay in delivery and to maintain the safety and health of other patients at hospitals with this policy.

We recommend referring to our list of safe flowers and plants for pet-friendly homes since some flowers can be toxic to dogs and cats, such as lilies, tulips, and alstroemeria. Please ensure your pet is safe by doing a quick search on flower/plant types.

We want to ask you to inspect your container before you empty it in the sink. From time to time we do use decorative elements in the vase to enhance the beauty of the gift.




You may return an item for refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Your item must be unused and in its original condition, including original packaging, in order to be eligible for return or exchange.

Before you return anything, please give us a call or email us with your concerns. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please, do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer but directly to us at Daisies & Rubies.

Several types of goods may not be returned. These include earrings and perishable goods.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 

If your refund is approved, we will apply a credit to your credit card or original method of payment within 5-7 business days.

Late or Missing Funds

If you are expecting a refund but it is not reflected in your bank account, first check your bank account again.

Then, contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale Items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.


We only replace defective or damaged items. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at


If the item was marked as a “gift” when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and notify them of your return.


To return your product, you must request authorization from our team. You can contact us at or via phone at 403 366 2499 and speak to Marika. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless you have received notification that we have acknowledged a mistake on our part leading to your return. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
